CDL Driver

TLC Plumbing & Utility is accepting applications to join our award winning team as a CDL Driver.

Required attributes for position include:

  • Minimum of three years of experience
  • Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card
  • Must not have any DUI’s within the last five years
  • Tanker endorsement
  • A strong work history
  • Job knowledge and productivity
  • Possess individual initiative and reliability
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training

Project Coordinator

TLC Plumbing & Utility has an opening to join our award winning team as a Project Coordinator for our Construction Division.

Essential Functions Include:

Working closely with project managers, superintendents, vendor partners to manage multiple projects and schedules.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize daily tasks in order to meet deadlines, ensure efficient workflow, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task effectively.
  • Must be able to work effectively and productively both independently and with a wide variety of people in an environment of rapidly changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel and Word is required. Viewpoint Experience a plus.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry a must (5 years).

Sheet Metal Journeyman - El Paso

TLC Plumbing & Utility currently has an opening to join our award winning team as a Sheet Metal Journeyman for a project that will be based out of El Paso, TX.

Technician will be responsible for building relationships with coworkers and customers, ensuring growth of their personal customer base. Maintaining standards set forth by the department such as: tool lists, vehicle organization, and standard material stock. Maintaining the consistency of the group by working harmoniously with coworkers, providing the same product from employee to employee. Creating an open work environment that encourages cooperation and team work, avoiding divisive behaviors. Ensuring customer satisfaction on every job through communication and hard work.

Essential Functions Will Include:

  • Work hours will be determined at the time of hire, and could change as needed
  • Recognized expert in all aspects of the residential/light commercial Sheet Metal trade.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and Safety requirements for all aspects of the Sheet Metal trade.
  • Strong Sheet Metal installation skills.
  • Aptitude and ability to troubleshoot areas of Sheet Metal and duct systems.
  • Aptitude to design and size all types of duct systems.

Journeyman Pipefitter - El Paso

TLC Plumbing & Utility has an opening to join our award winning team as a Journeyman Pipefitter for a project in El Paso, TX.

This position is responsible for assembling and installing pipe systems, pipe supports, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Installs pipe for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubrication, sprinkling, industrial production, and processing systems.

Essential Functions Will Include:

  • Work hours will be determined at the time of hire, and could change as needed
  • Ability and technical knowledge to install, service, and repair all manner of piping
  • Technical knowledge and ability to size, and replace piping equipment and train others to do the same.
  • Knowledge to assess multiple types of piping, materials, and methods
  • Sizing and installation of all manner of equipment
  • Strong aptitude for reading diagrams and schematics
  • Welding and plumbing experience a plus

Will also assist with reporting to ensure that communications, budgets, schedules, and all interactions with internal customers, subcontractors, vendors, staff, and management run smoothly. Must have knowledge of design and costing of industrial piping, mechanical and electrical projects.   Will be a liaison between the department managers and the field foreman. Also, to fill the gap in the event of a department manager loss.

Essential Functions Will Include:

  • Basic computer knowledge, including but not exclusively: Microsoft office to organize yourself and communicate with others, use of Excel spread sheets and Word documents, Maximo and ViewPoint.
  • Recognized expert in all aspects of residential/light commercial plumbing.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and Safety requirements for all aspects of the service trade.
  • Train and educate in the areas of the service trade. (HVAC/Plumbing)
  • Strong HVAC installation and design skills.

Drain Technician

We currently have an opening to join our award winning team as a Drain Technician. As a drain tech you will be responsible for providing customer focused service on a daily basis to ensure a safe work environment, high-quality work and high work and high rate of production.

Essential Functions will include:

  • Work hours 40+ dependent upon work load , overtime likely
  • On call once every five weeks
  • Operating drain cleaning equipment, cable machine, hydro-jetter or Vactor truck.
  • Small plumbing repairs
  • Confined work space
  • Strong communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of using standard hand and power tools
  • Strong ability to follow oral and written instructions properly
  • Physical agility aimed at performing difficult manual labor
  • Ability to recognize hazards and take measures to avoid them
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with technical teams
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and Safety requirements for all aspects of the service trade.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to troubleshoot areas of plumbing drainage systems.
  • Aptitude for running camera inspection equipment for drainage systems
  • Journeyman Plumbing License a plus but not required

Qualifications:

      • Current Journeyman Refrigeration license and/or Journeyman Gasfitter license.
      • Universal EPA certification.
      • 3+ years of service and repair experience of residential HVAC systems.

TLC Plumbing and Utility has an active training department that provides job skill training to our employees. We train our field employees in the fundamental safety trainings such as OSHA 10 or OSHA 30, GHS Hazardous Communication, Competent Person, Confined Space, CPR/First Aid Safety and OSHA related weekly toolbox talks. We also offer an array of skill training opportunities that will range through administrative skills, technical skills, and job specific skills that are pertinent to an employee’s job responsibilities. These training opportunities are taught in-house through the training department or by qualified third party trainers.
