What is the Difference between Tank and Tankless Water Heaters
Traditional tank based water heaters are able to provide hot water as needed by pre-heating the water and storing it at temperature in a water tank. While this may seem like a good way to ensure hot water is always ready, it has its drawbacks including higher energy cost, space and limited water based on tank size. Tankless water heaters on the other hand are able to heat water as needed. This removes the need for a tank to store and maintain hot water in volume.
