On November 4, TLC technicians visited the homes of 7 senior residents to turn their heaters on in preparation for the winter season. TLC Plumbing & Utility volunteered to donate their time to participate in this initiative when they heard that the City of Albuquerque’s Department of Senior Affairs identified some individuals who still had not turned on the heaters in their homes.

“I am proud that TLC Plumbing & Utility stepped up to the plate to assist some of the most vulnerable citizens in our community,” said Mayor Richard J. Berry. The City of Albuquerque Department of Senior Affairs provided TLC Plumbing & Utility with a list of names and addresses of seniors who would benefit from the services offered by TLC. The Director of the Department of Senior Affairs, Jorja Armijo-Brasher, stated: “I encourage seniors to find out more about what services are offered through the Department of Senior Affairs.”

The department has an Information & Assistance line open to the public between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The number is (505) 764-6400.
